2016-10-31, New Webdesign is online!

Hurray! We did it - finally we got a new Design for our Website. The Project stood never still - at no time! We hat some creative thinking and some new planning, but never lost our focus. Same at the Software... continuously refined and refurbished and newly built. Now we are planning our first "wet" testing time. The folding Dome is under construction and should be finished by Q1 2017.

2016-08-11, Testing our Weatherstation

Starting today, our new Weatherstation is online. We are gathering all new Data from the future Telescope Site and we will link it together with the new Website.

2015-10-20, Plans made for hardware / still searching for a Dome solution

The Telescope runs perfectly in all dry tests. The software is stable and usable. We need a solution for the Dome. The Dome should be hardened against weather, but low on weight. As the controlling of the Dome should also be possible and easy under Linux Operating Systems. We thought about a folding enclosure, so there would be no rotation needed and there would be no obstruction of the skyview.

2014-05-30, New design planned!

We were able to gather a lot of new informations in the past four years, since we started this project. The next step is to get the website to its new design and to publish all new data we got. In the meantime you may experience some difficulties with the page.

2012-11-30, All soft problems are resolved

we were able to solve all technical problems and are now able to run the telescope in the first dry-tests.

2010-06-28, optical problem solved, guiding still not working

The color diffraction could be solved, using a special Filter. The Test was indeed successful - we could take exposures up to 90 seconds without guiding. The problems regarding the Autoguider are still there and cannot be solved within short time.

2010-04-20, optical problem maybe solved

The color diffraction is no longer a problem. We will use a Filter to correct this. Meanwhile we have tested a Maksutov 70/500, but it is too small for this purpose.

2010-04-17, DSLR problem solved

Our Camera can flip the Mirror before taking the Image. We just have to modify the Controlsoftware to do this.

2010-03-24, First Light

Starting the first test, it was great! The setup took about 10 minutes and we were ready for imaging. The mount was stable enough to take images with 30 seconds integration Time. The images you can see in the gallery. After the processing of the images, we have to discuss a few things:
